In fact, our name is taken from the Icelandic word “Til iðn” (pronounced Til-lee-thon), which literally translates into “To Craft.” While none of the founders are Icelandic, we all have deep Scandinavian roots and are 100% Minnesotan!
With a passion for crafting artisanal beer, we celebrate those who share a passion for making things with their own hands. It is in this spirit that we celebrate the entire Maker Movement and the people in Minnesota who are still making physical things.
We will support this maker community by inviting local makers and craftsmen to our brewery to share what inspires their passion and how they turned their love/obsession into a business.

We embrace our local maker community from the interior of our taproom and the labels on our bottles to the artists we use to create our graphic designs and the beer we brew.
We have designed our taproom to be a friendly and comfortable environment specifically suited for gathering with friends (old and new) and family.
Tilion brews easily accessible, artisanal craft beer that is unique to our space. We are brewing styles of beer that are between the lines of what you can find in the Minnesota craft beer market.
